After, like, three years or something of playing around London in various guises and forms, Joe Innes is finally properly for sure doing an album release… After trading in half his comic book collection to record at The House of Strange (where the likes of Mumford & Sons, Noah and the Whale and Emmy the Great have previously recorded).
Described as a modern anti folk superhero, and ‘just brilliant’ by Tom Robinson on BBC6 Introducing, it’s definitely been a long time coming for something you’ll be able to put into your CD players.
You can pre-order the album from bandcamp, for both a digital and physical copy, but it will be available on the night. Spotify and iTunes links etc to come!
There will also be music from Adam Killip (who kindly added his talents to the album) and Laura Boyle who adds her voice to the growing number of awesome Lauras in the folk world.
